GBP Tracker
Clients, their Google Business Profiles, and a geo-grid scan for every keyword. Pick a profile on the left to open its grid, or switch to Compare profiles to measure every location a client owns against one keyword at once.
Start with a client
Add a client, then add each Google Business Profile they own. Every profile keeps its own grid, keywords and scan history — and you can measure them all against one keyword whenever you want.

Each signal you add makes the profile harder to miss and impossible to confuse with a competitor.
A full
google.com/maps/place/… URL carries a cid — the strongest possible match. Short share.google links don't, so fill in the phone and website below instead.

The map view each search runs at. Each point stands for the ground halfway to its neighbours, so the view has to reach that far or the grid has holes in it and a profile gets reported missing from places it is plainly visible. Match the spacing works that out from the grid you have set; the fixed options are there for when you want a specific view and know what you are asking for.

Data sourceWho fetches Google for you
A browser can't fetch Google directly, so automatic scans go through a SERP data API that queries Google server-side at each coordinate. Credentials stay in this browser and your synced profile. Manual paste mode is always free.
Free, but Google blocks shared relay IPs without warning. The scan detects a block and says so rather than leaving blank dots.
Points are independent of each other, so reading several at once changes nothing about the result — only how long you wait. Drop to Brisk if your provider starts returning rate-limit errors. Relay mode always runs single file.
Google Maps keeps listing places past the edge of the map. Without this, only places inside the map box are read, and a profile Google shows at #15 can come back as "not found". DataForSEO only. Leave it on.
With the whole-list read on: a miss on a full list is read again twice as deep before it turns red. With it off: when a point finds nothing, EDGE SEO Reporter re-runs it at a wider map view and then on the other surface, so a miss can be told apart from a listing that is simply known further out. A wider view never becomes the rank at the point — the number on the grid is always what the configured view returned, and anything found wider is reported separately with its own link. Only the empty points cost extra calls.
Sponsored appearances are recorded and shown beside the rank. They are never turned into a rank: a paid slot alongside 28 organic results used to be reported as position 29, which is a number that appears nowhere on Google and that nobody could count to. A point that only appears in the ads is a miss with an ad noted on it.
Before any points are read, the Google listing the scan is looking for is shown with its CID, Place ID, phone, website and pin, so you can confirm it is yours. A profile with no confirmed listing always gets the check.
This applies to the SEO keyword tracker, not the grid. Live Google is a reading pinned to each location and costs provider credits. Search Console is Google's own record of where the site showed up for real searchers. It is free and never blocked, but the position is an average across the country over the last 7 to 28 days, and a search with no impressions has no number. The double-check option only asks Search Console about keywords live Google couldn't find, so it adds nothing to the bill.
Only misses are read again. The first read that finds the site is saved and the rest are skipped. A read that errors is retried, not counted as a miss, and a position from the last scan is only replaced by a miss once every read has run.
Off by default. DataForSEO bills every page of ten results, so one deep look at a keyword that isn't there costs about seven times a top-100 read. Leave it off unless a client needs positions past 100.
On by default. Live Google results shift a little from one search to the next, so a position is only saved once a second read agrees with it (within two places). If the two disagree, a third read decides and the middle position is saved. Each row says how many reads agreed. It roughly doubles the cost of keywords that are found; misses cost the same as before.
One-time setup in Google Cloud Console: enable the Google Search Console API, create an OAuth client ID of type Web application, and add this page's address under Authorized JavaScript origins. The ID isn't a secret, so it syncs with the other settings. Each person signs in with their own Google account, and the sign-in is kept in this tab only.

GBP Tracker. One client can hold as many Google Business Profiles as they own — each keeps its own grid centre, keyword list and scan history, so nothing gets mixed together. Need to look at a raw Google result instead? .
